The Cosmic Bakers

Patrick "Smooth As Mayo" Mihalyi: Vocalist extraordinaire! He puts the "O" in soul, the "FUN" in funk and the "ERRRR" in rock! Whoever said James Brown was the hardest working man in show business had not seen Patrick perform! Night after night this tasmanian devil channels the energy of 10 men plus 2. You have seen him perform in a number of great bands prior to SLB such as Legacy and Jam Nation. You can always count on a great show when Patrick takes the stage!
The Funk Fathers
Bill McWreath-Keys/Vocals
Bill has been playing piano since childhood, teaching himself by listening to the radio and playing along with the hits of his youth. He’s played in various bands over the years, most recently as part of Canonsburg’s Four Townsmen Show Band and currently with his church’s worship team. Influenced by Elton John, Billy Joel, Michael McDonald, Billy Preston and Andrae Crouch, among others, Bill loves playing rock, gospel, pop and jazz, as well as taking the occasional long walk on the beach. At Christmas time you’ll find him entertaining customers at area Giant Eagle stores!
Ren Hilliard-"The Chunk Of Funk" : Bass
Ren has been "laying down the thump so you can shake your rump" for 40 years in the Pittsburgh area. He has played everything from heavy metal to musicals. Mark's roots have always been in the Pittsburgh area where he grew up to ROCK in and around the city.
Scott Walls- "The Wonder From Down Under": Guitar/Sound
For Scott, learning to play guitar and drums seemed only natural growing up in a family full of musicians.  By junior high he was playing at dances and various festivals.  He started to immerse himself in artists such as Keaggy, Kerry Livgren, Terry Kath, (hmmm....lots of "K's") and as many diverse guitarists as he could. He loves all styles of music, but his passion is for The Blues. Just like the blues Scott's guitar playing reaches deep down into your soul! " I've had the privilege of working with a lot of bands throughout the course of my life, but without a doubt, Street Level is one of the best."--Scott Walls
The Heaven's Gate Horns
Mike "Mongo" Bajsec:Alto Sax/Vocals
Mike has been playing saxophone for over 40 years, he digs many different musical styles funk, R&B, jazz & rock and has played in many different bands over the years both here in western PA and in California. As a young man he was influenced more by the big band & jazz players... Like Stan Getz, Charlie Parker & Jack Sax... Then more Rock and R & B with David Sanborn & Clarence Clemons... And when the smooth Jazz kick hit in the 90's he fell hard for guys like Bony James, Dave Koz, & Kenny Blake. Now he's just workin out his own sound and doing all he can to rock the house...

Jeff has been playing trumpet since he was 8 years old.  Before Street Level, he participated in more concert bands, marching bands, jazz bands, pit orchestras, choirs, and church worship teams than he can possibly remember.  He completed several music courses, including Music Theory and Jazz History, on the way to his Electrical Engineering degree at Carnegie Mellon.
